PTO hydraulic Pump For Tractor Domestic and import to power log splitters
A good rule to go buy is to have a reservoir at least the size of the pump output A 16 Gallon Per Min pump will need at least a 16 Gallon Tank. The bigger the tank the cooler the oil will stay
The longer cylinders, valves, pumps will last
If you are building your own hydraulic reservoir put suction strainer inside of tank close to bottom of tank this will help protect the PTO Hydraulic pump. AT Splitez Log Splitters we put suction strainer in all of our tanks
Place hydraulic filter On the return side after last control valve this will keep clean oil going back into the hydraulic reservoir. The reason filter is on the return is because most wear is from pump, vales, cylinders, hydraulic motors
Make sure filter return line is directed into the oil with a deffuser installed in the hydraulic reservoir. This will help in the prevention of foaming oil and air bubbles.
After the first 50 hour of use change filter and every 150 hours
Pto hydraulic tractor pumps will power hydraulic motors, pull type cotton pickers, landscaping equipment, street sweepers, log splitters, firewood processors, wood splitter, rotary mowers, backhoes
