A unique Transaction Key (Merchant PIN) is a special password required for processing transactions using the gateway. We strongly encourage all merchants to activate this service to help ensure the authenticity of transactions submitted to the gateway. The PIN does not need to be submitted for merchants processing via the Virtual Terminal or Batch Processing methods.
Almost all e-commerce shopping carts and mobile devices now require a Transaction Key (Merchant PIN) to process transactions. If you are setting up a shopping cart or mobile device the first “issue” to check is your Transaction Key (Merchant PIN) settings. The result your shopping cart will return is “Error Processing Card” if the Transaction Key (Merchant PIN).
NOTE: Changing the Merchant PIN for Transaction Processing option takes effect immediately. If “Require Merchant PIN” is selected and a PIN is not supplied, a new PIN will be generated. This Merchant PIN will need to be included with all transactions submitted via the API or they will be declined.
To set your Transaction Key (Merchant PIN) just copy it from your Fast Charge FRISK Configure Settings and past it into your shopping cart admin field for Transaction Key (Merchant PIN).
Follow these steps:
1. Login to Fast Charge
2. Click on FRISK Configure on the left menu
3. Scroll down to Merchant Pin
4. Click Edit and Follow Directions Below
5. Save settings by clicking update
